HEART - SOUL
Through this module, I hope you can deepen your spiritual connection and sense of purpose in the world.
No matter your belief in the Divine — or lack thereof — we can agree that our role as humans is to build toward paradise, a concept rooted in the Proto-Indo-European (PIE) etymology -per (around, forward) and -dheigh (to build, form), meaning to “build forward.” In every moment, you have a choice: vibrate upward toward the peace and joy of paradise, or downward toward the emptiness and despair of chaos.
To build though, means to do the work, and to relish its fruits. Like the story of the litte red hen, who kept asking all the farm animals to help her grow the wheat, mill it, and bake the bread. No-one was prepared to do the work, but they all wanted to enjoy the taste of it. That is not how it works! Because the work is what ripens and sweetens the reward...
VIBRATION
Ever wondered why music makes you feel so good? It’s because everything in the universe resonates with a sacred vibration — a sacred energy connecting all life. This divine spark animates your soul, guiding you to create Ordo ab Chao — order from chaos — through actions that restore the earth and uplift communities.
In our daily work, fueled by the sun’s energy (via the plants we eat), we can return to the garden of harmony, just as Nature does. Observe how plants and animals interact symbiotically, creating beauty and complexity over time, as the universe expands in ways we cannot yet fully understand.
Take a moment to breathe into that truth, that you are a spark of the Divine, with a vital role to play in building the "more beautiful world that our hearts know is possible" as Charles Eisenstein would say.
UBUNTU
Importantly, you are not alone on this journey. For we are all connected by the invisible thread of the Divine, as Ubuntu teaches:
"I am whole, only because you are whole."
This profound truth reveals that true peace and joy come from lifting others as you rise, creating a shared paradise. Sadly, much of the world is only focused on their individual selves, chasing the greed and desire that were originally cast out of the garden. For we all have free will and yet, as Heraclitus said, “Character is Fate.”
Know then that your choices shape your character, and that in turn shapes your destiny. Every moment, every multi-Universe, that stretches out before you is packed with potential. What world will you create?
TEND THE GARDEN
The choice is yours: embrace the peace and joy of tending the garden — our planet and communities — with Ubuntu’s care and connection. Or, chase the fleeting trinkets of colonial capitalism, living as a consumerist serf in a gilded cage.
While nice things are appealing, true happiness lies beyond incessant desire, which only fuels suffering. And here's what's truly bizarre.... When you conquer and release desire and fear, the Universe seeks to reward you in ways beyond imagination.
By focusing on love, tending the earth, and caring for others — especially the innocent animals in our care — you connect to the Divine thread, where the Universe delights in your abundance.
THE GREAT GAME
Life is a blessing. A great gift, a great game, and a chance to journey to the next level beyond material existence. Playing well most likely means rising to a higher state upon death, guided by the experience of your soul and your choices. Those who reject the Divine thread accept “game over,” embracing their eternal rest.
To play well, consider living by the qualities of the Egyptian goddess Ma’at, whose scales weigh your heart-soul against the feather of truth:
- Truthfulness: Speak and act with honesty and integrity.
- Justice: Ensure fairness in all dealings, personal and communal.
- Order: Practice discipline and self-control to maintain harmony.
- Harmony: Foster peace with others and Nature, avoiding conflict.
- Balance: Seek moderation, avoiding greed or excess.
- Righteousness: Act with morality. Do what is right, even when it’s difficult.
- Compassion: Offer kindness and empathy, helping those in need.
- Love: Love, honor, and respect others, their rights, and the Divine Order.
IGNITE THE SPARK
Your soul is the Divine vibration that animates your life. Across the religions, the soul connects us to that sacred essence guiding us toward our purpose and destiny.
- African Khoi-San: The pulse of the land and the ancestors and animals that flow through it.
- Taoism: Qi, the vital energy flowing through your body and the universe, harmonizing you with the Tao (the Way).
- Celtic: Awen, a sacred flowing force and inspiration in Nature, that sparks creativity and connection to the divine.
- Hinduism: Atman, the eternal spark of the divine, seeking liberation through dharma (righteous action).
- Islam: Nafs, a gift from Allah, guiding humans to live righteously, through prayer, charity, and submission to divine will.
- Christianity: The Holy Ghost, the divine (feminine) breath of life that flows through creation, together with the Father and the Son.
- African Yoruba: Ori, a divine essence chosen before birth, guiding your destiny. By honoring the ancestors and living in harmony with nature, Ori aligns with the divine order.
- Buddhism: Consciousness is seen as a stream of energy seeking enlightenment. Mindfulness and compassion for all beings create Nirvana — a state of peace akin to paradise.
By igniting your soul’s spark, you tap into this universal vibration, whether through ritual, music, or Nature’s embrace. With Ubuntu, your wholeness depends on others’ wholeness, so tend the garden of your soul, as well as your community. Create Ordo ab Chao through regenerative work that honors the Divine, Earth, and all of life.
It is not for us to preach to you. We would simply like you to know that you are a vital part of the Divine, and that you are free from anyone else's control, including so-called "elites", kings, presidents, priests and popes. For your liberty includes freedom from the dogma of religion. No doubt the great prophets such as the Buddha, Jesus, and Mohammed would be horrified at the churches and the dogma that have sprung up in their name.
PRACTICAL EXERCISES
The simple practises below will help you become attuned to the Divine thread that flows through life, and sharpen your senses of observation and gratitude. There is no wrong or right way to do these, but the key is to be conscious about it.
- Grounded Vibration: Stand barefoot, or preferably lie down, on the Earth. It resonates at a very low (Schumann) frequency and also has (telluric) current flowing through it. Birds and insects use these to navigate. Practise diaphragmatic or belly breathing and try to relax into the vibration of the planet, letting the stresses of modern life all melt away.
- Nature Reflection: Spend 10 minutes alone in Nature (under a tree, by a stream, in a field), listening to its rhythms (e.g., birds, wind). Think of all the plants and creatures that are living alongside you, all working towards order and paradise. Journal or record how it feels to connect to this great work of the Divine.
- Music & Soul: Sing or listen to a traditional song (African hymn, Sufi chant etc.) for 5 minutes daily. Reflect on how its rhythm lifts your spirit, and try to place where that joy comes from.
- Purpose Statement: Write or record a 2-minute statement on your purpose in helping to build paradise. What does paradise mean to you? Especially with regards to Ubuntu’s “I am whole, because you are whole.”
- Ritual: Perform a simple ancestral or elemental offering (e.g., pouring water on the ground, placing a stone for the earth) to honor your ancestors or the Elements of Nature that sustain us. How do think your intention shapes that glorious unseen ripple that emanates from your actions?
Remember that the world is alive with wonder, and yet we so often choose to drown it out with artificial noise of our own making.
Audi, Vide, Sapies. Hear, See, Become Wise.
